Singer/Songwriter Sam Jones Chats to TUK | TUK Footwear

We had the pleasure of talking to British musician Sam Jones, a multi-talented singer/songwriter and producer renowned for his striking slide guitar licks and crooner vocals.

Sam's career has taken him from the UK to Poland and everywhere in between. After growing up in North Wales, Sam moved to London for 12 years before relocating to Poland in 2016 and now spends his time between the two countries when not touring.

He has embarked on 4 European solo tours and multiple mini-tours of France, Belguim & Poland and has played in many of Europe’s key cities such as Liverpool, Berlin, Prague, Kraków, Dublin, Paris, Brussels as well as some pretty unusual locations like the former ghost town Bussana Vecchia in Italy. Often working as a multi-instrumentalist he has recorded many tracks over several decades. A cross-section of which makes up his live solo set.

Sam has been fronting the punk-infused crew, Angry Town. After the original band met at a solo Jones show in Gniewkowo. Since then the name has been used to release two singles during lockdown. An official album entitled ‘No Second Chance‘ & a new live band were recently assembled in November 2022 to support Sham 69 in Poland.

Sam has established himself as a top musician with an impressive list of collaborations over the years, working with several established musicians Ged Lynn (The Stairs), Charlie Harper (UK Subs), Brian James (The Damned) & PJ (Anti-Nowhere League), he even appeared on a track with Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers in ‘Stranger Things‘). He's gained the respect of many well-known industry insiders such as journalist John Robb, and has also worked as a featured artiste in films such as Tim Burton’s ‘Sweeney Todd‘ & the Ian Dury biopic ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll‘. He also caught Relco London’s attention when they spotted his unique alternative/mod style - featuring him on their website with Blue Nation!

This collection features studio and live recordings you can check out his website for comprehensive track-by-track details.
